WHO SHOULD WIN: Bridesmaids. No other film on this list can match the amount of humor packed into this genius ensemble film!

WHO WILL WIN: The Artist. But people are gaga-googoo over The Artist and it’s quiet performances. So I can expect this one to take the big prize home!

WHO SHOULD WIN: The Help. With a strong ensemble, and a wonderful adaptation of a terrific book, this film deserves every amount of recognition that they can!

WHO WILL WIN: The Descendants. I have a feeling that the Clooney love is going to spill over in this category. And I am perfectly ok with that decision too.

WHO SHOULD WIN: Christopher Plummer for Beginners. There’s no denying just how much I love Drive, so secretly I want a win for Drive (seeing as how the film wasn’t nominated for Best Motion Picture, Best Director, or Best Actor). But it’s clear that Plummer went above and beyond and deserves this award compared to the rest of the gang here.

WHO WILL WIN: Christopher Plummer for Beginners. ‘Nuff said!

WHO SHOULD WIN: Ryan Gosling for Crazy, Stupid, Love. How can you not root for the man of the year? (and without a doubt, the standout of Crazy, Stupid, Love) It was all about Gosling this year!

WHO WILL WIN: Jean Dujardin for The Artist. Seeing as how Dujardin doesn’t stand a chance when pinned up next to George Clooney, I’m expecting him to finally get some recognition on his own.

WHO SHOULD WIN: Michael Fassbender for Shame. Fassbender was raw, honest, and delivered such a strong performance. I can’t see any other actor doing what he did in Shame.

WHO WILL WIN: George Clooney for The Descendants. But people love Clooney (as do I), so I expect him to win once again.

WHO SHOULD WIN: Octavia Spencer for The Help. After years of having a career filled with supporting comedic roles on the side, Spencer took charge as Minny, and she certainly held her own among a cast of such strong performers. Although Jessica Chastain does deserve some recognition for the insane amount of films she’s starred in in 2011.

WHO SHOULD WIN: Kristen Wiig for Bridesmaids. Out of this list, she is utterly the funniest woman. She kept my attention throughout the entire film (never mind the fact that she wrote the film as well).

WHO WILL WIN: Michelle Williams for My Week with Marilyn. Come on now. With all of the hype and attention Williams is getting, this is a pretty easy decision. The real-life roles always win big.

WHO SHOULD WIN: Viola Davis for The Help. She’s strong, demanding, and such a talented woman. She deserves big time recognition for her years of performances much like Octavia Spencer. Although Meryl Streep is always pretty deserving for any role she takes on.

Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film

Peter Dinklage – Game of Thrones

Paul Giamatti – Too Big To Fail

Guy Pearce – Mildred Pierce

Tim Robbins – Cinema Verite

Eric Stonestreet – Modern Family

WHO SHOULD WIN: Peter Dinklage for Game of Thrones. I haven’t seen a lot of the made-for-TV films this year, other than Too Big To Fail, and Paul Giamatti always has amazing performances. But Peter Dinklage has had great performances in the past too, and seeing as how he just won the Emmy, it should be going to him.

WHO WILL WIN: Eric Stonestreet for Modern Family. The Golden Globes always pulls out some kind of surprise, so I wouldn’t be shocked if it went to Stonestreet this time.

Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy

Alec Baldwin – 30 Rock

David Duchovny – Californication

Johnny Galecki – The Big Bang Theory

WHO SHOULD WIN: Johnny Galecki for The Big Bang Theory. First of all, why on earth does the unfunny Thomas Jane keep getting nominated? And over Steve Carell’s final season of The Office? AND Louis C.K.? BLASPHEMY! And seeing as how Jim Parsons (the two-time Emmy winner) isn’t in this category, I’m hoping Galecki sneaks in for the win.

WHO WILL WIN: Matt LeBlanc for Episodes. Of course, the Golden Globes will surprise us and choose the winner of an underestimated comedy performance (a la Katey Segal’s win last year for Sons of Anarchy). Or maybe even going to Duchovny for Californication?

Kelsey Grammer – Boss

Jeremy Irons – The Borgias

Damian Lewis – Homeland

WHO SHOULD WIN: Jeremy Irons for The Borgias. Very strong, solid performance from Irons on this show. 

WHO WILL WIN: Kelsey Grammer for Boss. I have a feeling they’ll be giving this award to another underrated drama performance to someone who finally scored a good job on a decent show.

WHO SHOULD WIN: Jessica Lange for American Horror Story. No other role included someone so bitchy, but just so damn good! But then again, I keep saying every year just how long overdue an award for Sofia Vergara is, so she’s just as important to me as Lange.

WHO WILL WIN: Jessica Lange for American Horror Story. Seeing as how she won’t be on the show anymore (going along with their show’s concept of changing characters every year), they’d be a fool not to award her for this amazing role!

Laura Dern – Enlightened

Zooey Deschanel – New Girl

Tina Fey – 30 Rock

Laura Linney – The Big C

Amy Poehler – Parks and Recreation

WHO SHOULD WIN: Zooey Deschanel for New Girl. We’re missing Melissa McCarthy (who won the Emmy this year) and the awards favorite Edie Falco. But among this list of funny ladies, Zooey Deschanel is long overdue for her comedic timing and her spot on performance, especially on the hilarious new show!

WHO WILL WIN: Laura Linney for The Big C. Seeing as how they gave her the award over funnier actresses LAST year, I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave it to her again this year. (The Big C show is on my quee to watch, so I’ll judge the performance seriously when I finally get to see the show).

Mireille Enos – The Killing

Julianna Marguiles – The Good Wife

Madeleine Stowe – Revenge

Callie Thorne – Necessary Roughness

WHO SHOULD WIN: Madeleine Stowe for Revenge. I haven’t heard any other actress out of this bunch get as much attention as her. I have yet to catch up with everyone else on Revenge, but I will say that the bits I have seen of Stowe are just deliciously wonderful! 

WHO WILL WIN: Claire Danes for Homeland. I’m thinking that she’ll win a Golden Globe for a second year in a row, seeing as how this show has made a big splash with the rest of the competition nominated.
