2013 Valentine's Day Top 20 Music Countdown: #10-1

10.) “Dreamlover”
Mariah Carey
Old school Mariah was classy and adorable, especially when she sang about the ups of being in love, all of her dreams coming true.
“I wanna share forever with you baby.”

9.) “I Could Fall In Love”
Selena
Selena’s English crossover never came to us in full because of her untimely death, but at least we were left with a taste of her would-be sound and some heartfelt emotion in both English and Spanish.
“Siempre estoy sonando en ti. Besando mis labios. Imaginando que me amas. Como yo podia amar a ti.”

8.) “Bleeding Love”
Leona Lewis
Who knew that blood analogies could be so romantic and heartfelt?
“But something happened for the very first time with you. My heart melted to the ground, found something true. And everyone’s looking ‘round thinking I’m going crazy.”

7.) “Adorn”
Miguel
With all of the sweet, romantic gestures, you still need some room for a little somethin’ something’…
“And if they try to break us down don't let that affect us.”

6.) “Un-thinkable (I’m Ready)”
Alicia Keys & Drake
There’s nothing more beautiful than noticing that time in your life when you’ve gone through what you’ve needed to go through and you know in your heart that you’re ready to take that dive into something real.
“Time is only wasting, so why wait for eventually?”

5.) “At Your Best (You Are Love)”
Aaliyah
Aaliyah brings the sultry and the sweet to this old school classic with her high falsetto and sincerity. At her best, it’s lovely!
“You’re a positive motivating force within my life.”

4.) “For Once In My Life”
Stevie Wonder
There’s nothing like a little Stevie Wonder to get you up and moving to the sounds of love, sidestepping with your special person and knowing that things are so much better now for the first time in life.
“As long as I know I have love, I can make it!”

3.) “I’ll Be There”
The Jackson 5
Michael and his brothers bring us their sweet promise to step in for the man who just couldn’t hack it.
“I’ll reach out my hand to you. I’ll have faith in all you do.”

2.) “We Found Love”
Rihanna
Rihanna gets us up on our feet and into the club with this beautiful anthem of love found in hopeless places.
“It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny…”

1.) “Love On Top”
Beyoncé
And leave it to Beyoncé to get us up on feet to dance for the one who makes us feel complete, to the one who makes us want to dance, to the one who makes us feel on top of the world.
“Everybody asks me why I’m smiling out from ear to ear.”
