2013 Valentine's Day Top 20 Music Countdown: #20-11

Putting aside the bitterness of Singles Awareness Day, there still is a holiday all about love…so here’s some more of my favorite songs to celebrate the lovely occasion!

20.) “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)”
John Legend & Ludacris
While it may not be a song meant for a love for all eternity, Valentine’s Day sometime is just about the moment and what happens later that night! (wink face)
“Nobody come close to me and you together…”

19.) “L-O-V-E”
Nat King Love
Nothing spells the adorable meaning of love better than this Nat King Cole classic, proving that a little class and romanticism can still be possible.
“Love was made for me and you!”

18.) “As Long As You Love Me”
Justin Bieber & Big Sean
Bringing it back to this day and age, the Biebers has us all Beliebing that nothing else matters to him as long as we love him and this sick beat!
“I’ll be your Hova. You can be Destiny’s Child on the scene girl.”

17.) “You & I Both”
Jason Mraz
Even back in the beginning, Jason Mraz was a beautiful poet who could spin his words to really emphasize the beauty of two people together. Nothing stronger than the two words “you” and “I” (see Stevie Wonder).
“I’ll remember everything you sang…”

16.) “Someone To Call My Lover”
Janet Jackson
A sweet dose of pop perfection from new millennium Janet is just as sweet as she was back in the day. This call for her lover is danceable and adorable in more ways than one, just waiting for him to show up someday. Maybe she’ll find him driving down Ventura Highway? (wink face if you get that reference!)
“I spoil them when I’m in love.”

15.) “1 Thing”
Amerie
At long last, a song from a Will Smith soundtrack that Will Smith DOESN’T rap! Producer Rich Harrison was making the rounds during this time when it came time to infectious samples in current songs (whether it was Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” or J.Lo’s “Get Right”). He and Amerie don’t let us down with this adorable dance track, all talking about that one thing that makes us all fall hard.
“Nothin’ left to do but to keep on seeing you.”

14.) “My Love”
Justin Timberlake & T.I.
Back before the Biebs brought us “As Long As You Love Me”, the original white bog with serious swagger gave us this little jam to bust a move to. With its melody and signature Timbaland beat, this sweet love song was proof that Justin could still be adorable WITHOUT the curly hair.
“This ring here represents my heart and everything that you’ve been waiting for…”

13.) “Without You”
David Guetta & Usher
Who says that club music can’t be romantic and beautiful too? The lyrics to this song are true for any kind of relationship, whether it be family, a friend, or a significant other. Nothing says I love you more than saying that nothing else matters without them in your life.
“If you’re not here, I’m paralyzed.”

12.) “You’re Still the One”
Shania Twain
Never mind the fact that the man she wrote this song for ended up leaving her for her best friend. There still is a beautiful message in this song that despite all of those who may say that nothing lasts forever and it won’t work out, love can still exist and that special one will still be there. After all, the silver lining is that she ended up with her friend’s husband too!
“Look how far we’ve come my baby…”

11.) “Take Care”
Drake & Rihanna
Through the rough times in life and all of the heartbreak that comes before, nothing beats having someone there for you, willing to take on the pain and take care of everything going wrong.
“Dealing with a heart that I didn’t break…”
