I would LOVE to see Connie Britton get nominated in this category! Stana Katic had an amazing season on Castle. Jessica Lange is as fierce as ever on American Horror Story. And Julianna Marguiles and Kyra Sedgwick seem like shoe-ins.

How can you not nominate the adorable and genius that is Zooey Deschanel!? Edie Falco and Laura Linney are obvious picks. Having won the Emmy award already, I’m hoping to see Melissa McCarthy get a nomination. And who can forget the other genius that is Amy Poehler!?

Maya Rudolph – Up All Night
Sofia Vergara – Modern Family
Julie Bowen deserves to see another recognition for her performance as Claire. Margo Martindale won for Justified at the Emmys, so expect to see her here too. Naya Rivera stepped up her game and got a really great storyline of coming out. Maya Rudolph is one of the standouts this season on television. And Sofia Vergara is outstanding as usual.
